The BBS Supervision Committee has discussed changing the current individual supervision requirement to a “triadic” supervision requirement. If approved, this would redefine “individual” supervision to include either one-on-one supervision, or two-on-one. We will notify you if this proposal is approved.
As we have previously communicated, the BBS has proposed changes to the experience requirements. If the changes are approved, we will update the MFT, LCSW and LPCC versions of TrackYourHours. The updates will allow you to see how many hours you can claim under both the old and new requirements. This will make it very easy for you to determine how many hours you can claim based on the date you will be submitting your application. We will notify you if/when the changes are approved. Under the current proposal applicants who submit between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2020 would have the option of being evaluated under the old or new requirements; from January 1, 2021 forward the new requirements would apply to all applicants.
