The first thing to do before you start logging hours at a new site

As an MFT Trainee or Intern it is critically important to have your supervisor sign the Responsibility Statement for Supervisors before you begin earning hours.  The Responsibility Statement for Supervisors (Section 1833.1 of the California Code of Regulations) became effective on January 1, 1991, and was revised effective January 1, 1998.  The original form must be submitted to the BBS with your application.

We hear from interns who are ready to submit their hours and realize that they did not receive a signed responsibility statement from one or more of their supervisors.  Don’t let this happen to you!
