We are happy to let you know that we just added the 2010 Experience Verification Form to the TYH 2010 version of TrackYourHours. We hope to have the 2010 Reports section added in about a week.
Last week we released an updated version of TrackYourHours (TYH 2010) which allows you to track hours in the new required 2010 format. You are still able to access and track hours prior to 2010 using the TYH Legacy version of TrackYourHours. We have also updated the TYH Mobile version.
Each time you login you will be able to choose which version of TrackYourHours you would like to use.
In order to get this update launched in a timely manner, we have temporarily removed some functionality from TYH 2010:
- We have temporarily removed the Reports area from TYH 2010. We will be adding this back in the next couple weeks.
- We have removed the “Approved: Yes/No” feature from the Hours page.
- The Print Hours function on the Hours page has been removed.
- You are still able to print BBS forms in the Forms area of the software.
- We will be adding the new Experience Verification form in a couple weeks.
We are aware that the weekly hours total currently does not “double” the Conjoint Couples and Family hours. We will address this issue next week.
As we release new updates to the software, we will send out information via email as well as update our blog, so be sure to check back regularly.
Please note that we are working on a complete redesign of TrackYourHours which will make tracking and reporting your hours even easier. We plan to launch this redesign in a couple months.
We want to let you know that TrackYourHours will continue to provide you with the best and easiest way to track and report your hours and help you comply with the MFT (and soon ASW/LCSW) licensing requirements.
UPDATE: We are planning to launch the 2010 version of TYH on or before January 15th!
By now you should all be aware of the new BBS rules that go into effect January 1, 2010. If not, you can read all about it and download some of the BBS docs related to the changes here.
In order to accommodate the changes, we have been working on a new version of TrackYourHours and wanted to provide you with some information on what to expect in the new year….
The current TrackYourHours software (TYH Legacy) will still be available to use in the new year in case you need to access or enter any data. The TYH Legacy software has been modified so you will not be able to enter any hour data for dates beyond December 31, 2009.
Within the first 2 weeks of January 2010, we will make available a new version of TrackYourHours (TYH 2010). To track and report any hours from January 1, 2010 and beyond, you will use TYH 2010.
When we release TYH 2010, we will modify the login process so that once you provide your username and password, you will be prompted to select TYH 2010 or TYH Legacy. Depending on which choice you make, you will be directed to the appropriate version of TrackYourHours. If you are a current TYH user, all your Site and Profile data will be available in both versions of TrackYourHours.
As we get closer to launching TYH 2010, we will be updating our blog as well as sending out emails to the TYH community with more information on the changes we are making.
We hope you are all enjoying the Holidays and we are looking forward to a very exciting 2010.
Just to recap: In the new year, you will still be able to access all your TrackYourHours information. In addition, we will be launching a new version of the software with the new BBS categories in mid- January.
Some TYH users are experiencing issues with the software after upgrading their Internet Explorer browser to version 8 (IE8). We are aware of this and are working on a solution. In the meantime, we advise using the Firefox Internet browser if you encounter any problems while using IE8.
If you require additional help, please use our contact form.
Thank you for using TrackYourHours!
We receive a lot of emails from TYH users who are curious why they are “missing” hours from some categories when they go to print out a form or are reviewing their totals in the reports area of the software.
In every instance, we found that there was a misunderstanding about the rules of supervision hours. Here is what we mean:
If a trainee or intern wants to be able to report hours of experience for a particular week, he or she MUST have at least one unit of supervision for that week. This applies to each site a trainee or intern is working at. If a trainee or intern does not have any supervision for a particular week, he or she can NOT claim any hours for that week.
This rule often gets mixed up with the rule of supervision averages.
Meaning that over a given period of time, a trainee or intern must have enough supervision units to meet the ratio requirements specific to trainee status or intern status. This rule of averages is applicable to weeks that include at least one unit of supervision.
The TrackYourHours software has been developed to help you abide by the rules set forth by the BBS to help you meet the requirement for licensure. The Experience Verification form generated by the TrackYourHours software and the information in the Reports area will not include hours from weeks where you do not have at least one unit of supervision.
So, if you have any weeks of direct service, workshops, notes, or any other non-supervision category, please make sure you have at least one unit of supervision so you can count those hours toward your total 3000.
We are here to help you!
